I love the girl. The lining is a bit too heavy though! And the base in my own opinion could have easily been half the size to focus more on the chick!

i definetly agree with the lining, but i was really annoyed with it, it kept spilling over onto the bikini because there isnt much of a groove seperating skin from bikini, so i just said screw it
as for the base, i had it made for her on a beach...and well...he changed my plan from beach/water and towel, to a snow scene....
im pretty bad for having big bases :D
edited new pic in for volgor

Good lord Alex! I can't wait to see more work done!
Looks good so far. Are you planning on adding more colour to the skin?
What did you make the base out of?
yup, this is after adding some colour and playing with the pic to make it show better:

the base is paper mache and a rock so far with milliput so i could pin volgor...i need to reglue the chunk back on the display bas as its...come apart!
He looks dead :/ (colour wise).
But when I saw these pics, I saw how close you are to painting like the masters so I nearly with-held further comment ahha.
I can't help thinking that the flesh could go for some reds in it to help balance it out... As Ian put it, it looks dead.. a bit too palled a palette I think.
i agree...it does have more reds in person..they never wanna show up in my photos even when i up the reds/magentas
however i will be adding a bit more, im currently trying to shade the rest of the body so i can begin colourising it as well :P
the reason is because i confused what i was intending on doing and used two colour sets, so i got a mix of both...i was thinking of the greens in Allan's Rashkal...and thinking snow scene so blues, reds, purples etc....... hahah oh me

This is looking really great so far.
A model this size, you could probably play up the idea of equipment rubbing the skin raw rather well. Light glazes of reds around straps and other spots where the equipment would rub. Just something I haven't seen much of that (i think) this piece could benefit from.
