I've darkened the horse with a few glaze with the airbrush. It pretty much killed most of the final highlight but i'll correct that toward the end of the project: Otherwise here's where I am at. The yellow (I hate that color...) need more work at several places. The red pants are more contrasted but since I took the pic in a hurry well here's the result.

Hmm.. anatomically correct horse.. thats awkward. Looks great, I love the contrast between the bright colours of the man and the dark desaturated colours of the horse and grass.

Mason- 11-14-2007

It's looking good, but I'm really impressed with the colouring and texture on the grass.

Cherub- 11-14-2007

That horse is amazing. I wish mine looked like that.

akaranseth- 11-15-2007

It's looking good, but I'm really impressed with the colouring and texture on the grass. usual GW static grass rework with airbrush

Mason- 11-15-2007

It's the burning of the grass with the airbrush that I like. :)

Legacy40k- 11-15-2007

You airbrushed the grass? cool. What colours did you airbrush the grass with?

Legacy40k- 11-19-2007

Where do you get the plastic plinths from that you use? like the one for the bust and your imperial navy pilot?

akaranseth- 11-20-2007

Chessex box of dice... Basically i see something that will do the job I grab it...

akaranseth- 11-21-2007

Final pics of the Mamelouk Officer. Otherwise my result from Long Island: Gold in Master Painter for historical display Gold in 30mm/Wargame for my Libby And my bust of Massoud get the prize for the best bust in the show.

Legacy40k- 11-21-2007

I don't really like the skin complexion on this guy.. he seems too white.. He seems to be wearing a middle eastern/indian garb which makes me think he should have a darker skin complexion. How come you went so light?

akaranseth- 11-25-2007

A mamelouk is an Egyptian, at least those that Napoleon brought back! And I guess this one has a pale skin complexion...

Ainu- 11-25-2007

Looks good. I'd like to see some more progress on that baneblade from a little while back.

akaranseth- 11-25-2007

Looks good. I'd like to see some more progress on that baneblade from a little while back. I should start it tomorrow... Don't expect nothing GD like... It will be a bunch of test for a GD entry though
